Still Think Cannabis Doesn’t Kill? Columbia University Psychiatry Has Some Facts for You

A study presented by Dr Ragy R. Girgis at International Academy on the Science and Impact of Cannabis analysed over 2,300 global mass murder cases.

It found cannabis involvement among US mass shooters more than doubled after 1996, rising from about 5% to over 11%, with no similar increase in other types of mass murder.

Researchers stress this is a correlation, not proof of causation, but say the pattern is statistically significant and worth attention in policy discussions.
